It’s been long since i my last time to compile linux kernel. Yeah, i think it was on 1998
Almost 11 years ago! Today i wanna to compile my opensuse. I’m not very pleased with my linux. I use AMD Turion 64 X2 and my memory 4GB but it’s hard to believe that my linux always scream “never enough” every i’m using it.
Let’s go straight to the point. I’m googling to prepare anything that i wanted to know. Yeah like old time, but this time google is my “book”. On the back day, in my hand only 1 book about linux.
Finaly, on opensuse i must do prep kernel before i compile the kernel, here it comes:
cd /usr/src/linux
make mrproper
make cloneconfig > /dev/null 2>&1
make modules_prepare
make clean
I hope i can continue my notes about my “first” experience compiling kernel on linux since 1998.
